Hello All. My name is Amy C. Teeple (A.C. in the column) and I am Nested Lez. I write a column by that name in a free monthly magazine in San Diego, the Lavender Lens. The Lavender Lens is written for lesbians and friends.
Currently a San Diego resident, I live with my wife (and partner) Julie. We have been together for over nine years (hence the “nested” moniker). I was born and raised in New Jersey, but I went to school in Pennsylvania and lived there for several years after that.
In 2009, I participated in the Breast Cancer 3-Day (now called the 3-Day for the Cure) and it was an amazing experience. In 2010, I will be walking the 60 miles once again.
As my full-time job, I am a freelance web copywriter. That means I can take my laptop with me and get to travel with my wife on some of her many business trips. It’s something we always wanted to be able to do and now we can!
I have always enjoyed sports, but since losing about 40 pounds, I have found a renewed enjoyment in all forms of exercise. I play softball in the spring, started playing flag football, enjoy racquetball, and, of course, get in a lot of walking. I also enjoy reading some good lesbian romances. My favorite authors are Gerri Hill, Kim Baldwin, and Georgia Beers, but I am always willing to try someone new.
Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy it!
