Counting Your Blessings

23 02 2009

Hello All. I just wanted to write a quick post to remind you all to count your blessings. Life these days can be a bit trying and overwhelming, but things could be worse.

A few weeks ago, I got a chance to spend a weekend with a good friend. A week later she was sent to Sri Lanka for work. A building connected to her hotel was bombed in an aerial attack. She ended up fleeing the country and thankfully made it home safely. I can’t help but think about people in similar circumstances who are not as lucky … although she will most likely have to deal with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Yes, things could be better, but they could always be worse. Don’t ask, “how can things get worse?” You don’t want to know.

While you can, tell the people that you love, that you do, in fact. love them. The words “I love you” are important, but be sure to truly tell them why they are important to you. You will be glad that you did.
