Don’t Vote … Unless, of Course, You Actually Care About Your Life

3 10 2008

I don’t care who you vote for (well, that’s not entirely true), but please make sure that you vote. This 2008 election is a very important one and if you let it pass without letting your voice be heard, then you must not care a lot about your future and the future of our great (yet currently slightly shaky) country.

Before you can vote, you must be registered to vote. Using its Maps feature, Google has created an easy way for you to be able to register to vote. Register to vote here! If you don’t want to listen to me, maybe you’ll listen to some celebrities – watch the video below.

In some states, the last day to register for the upcoming election is October 4, 2008. In California (where I am based), voter registration must be postmarked by October 20, 2008.

Please, embrace this right we have as U.S. citizens. If you’re not registered to vote, please do so now. Once you are registered, let your voice be heard and vote on November 4, 2008.

To stay true to this blog, I do need to say voice the following:

In California, vote NO on Prop 8. (Vote NO on Prop 8 website, Equality California website)

In Arizona, vote NO on Prop 102. (Vote NO on Prop 102 website)

In Florida, vote NO on Prop 2. (Say No 2 website)

In Arkansas, vote against the Unmarried Couple Adoption Ban. (Sorry, I can’t find a site for this)
